DRONE RACE COMPETITION
Drone racing competitions are thrilling events where Participants use remote controls to guide their drones through obstacles, loops, and sharp turns, all while aiming for the fastest time.
Rules & Regulations

- Time: 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM
General Instructions:
- Team Formation:
- Each team will consist of a maximum of 5 members or minimum 1 members.
- The team leader of each team will be responsible for all the activities of that team.
- Maximum 2 members can enter the arena of the match.
- Student Validity:
- Team members can be undergraduate students of AIUB student or students from any school/college.
- Participants who are not enrolled in any university and attended the HSC, A-level, or other equivalent exams in 2022 and 2023 will be allowed to participate in the school/college category.
- Proof of Verification:
- Participants must bring their respective Student IDs for verification purposes.
- Game Rules:
- Rings will be placed at different locations in the arena with serial numbers. The drone must cross those rings sequentially.
- There will be 6 large rings, each containing 10 points, and 3 bonus small triangles/rings, each containing 15 points.
- Battery swaps are not allowed during race time.
- Hitting obstacles results in negative points.
- Racing using goggles is not permitted.
- The race will be conducted individually, with one drone at a time.
- No specific sensors are allowed.
- At any time, the drone with the highest points may win.
- During the race, the pilot cannot move with the drone.
- If the drone hits an obstacle, it must be restarted from that point.
- If the points are equal, the drone that obtained the same points in less time may win.
- In any circumstances, the decision of the referee will be considered the final decision.
- The complete Drone (including Battery and landing gear) should be of length maximum 35cm*35cm (LxB) (Measured diagonally – motor shaft to shaft / Wheel Base of the Drone frame).
- The drone must cover the following requirements:
- Lap Length- 300 feet (The distance that must be covered).
- Obstacle- 6 Circles 2 feet in diameter and 3 Triangles (The circles will be placed at different heights).
- Height- 10 feet (The drone should fly 10 feet (minimum) above the ground).
